Waiting room, in detail
A longer look at the queue. The short Waiting room guide is still there.
-
1. Join from the event
When the event is using a waiting room, the buy box is replaced before you fill a cart. It says “High demand — secure your place in the queue to buy tickets.” and the button is Join the waiting room. Events that are not using a queue open the tickets straight away.
-
2. Pass the check when it appears
Some sales ask you to prove you are human before you join. That page is titled “Just checking you’re human” and the button is Take me to the line.
-
3. Wait in the lobby
Before the sale opens, the page says “You’re in the lobby.” Everyone there is given a place at random when the sale starts. Joining earlier does not move you up. Keep the tab open. Do not refresh, and do not open a second tab — both lose your spot.
-
4. Watch your place in line
Once the sale is open, the page shows Your place, Ahead of you, and In line, plus an estimated wait. Keep the tab open. The same warning applies: a refresh or a second tab loses your place.
-
5. Finish during your turn
When you are let through, the page says “You’re in” and offers Continue to the event. You have about eight minutes, the same window as the cart. If the page says your place expired, Rejoin the queue starts again.
